These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website https://judgewebdesign.com (“Website”) and any services provided by Judge Web Design (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our Website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions
- Client: The person, company, or organization receiving services from Judge Web Design.
- Services: Any design, development, SEO, strategy, consultation, or related service provided by us.
- Project: A defined scope of work requested by the Client and agreed upon by Judge Web Design.
2. Use of the Website
- The content on this Website is for general information and marketing purposes.
- Unauthorized use of this Website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Website without notice.
3. Acceptance of Proposals & Projects
- A project is only considered active once a written proposal is accepted and the initial payment or deposit is received.
- Timelines provided in proposals are estimates and may shift due to client delays or scope changes.
4. Client Responsibilities
To ensure project success, the Client agrees to:
- Provide content, logos, images, and approvals in a timely manner
- Designate a single point of contact for project communication
- Review deliverables promptly and provide clear feedback
- Make all payments as outlined in the invoice or proposal
Delays in communication or content delivery may result in project delays and additional fees.
5. Intellectual Property
a) Client Content:
All content provided by the Client remains their property. The Client is responsible for ensuring they have the right to use all materials supplied.
b) Work Produced:
- We retain ownership of design concepts and underlying code until the final invoice is paid in full.
- Upon full payment, the Client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the delivered work for its intended purpose.
6. Payments, Invoicing & Late Fees
- Payment terms are typically 50% deposit upfront and 50% on project completion, unless otherwise stated.
- Late payments may incur a £25/week administration fee and may result in a pause of services.
- All invoices must be paid in GBP.
7. Revisions & Scope
- Each project includes a set number of revisions, typically 2–3 rounds unless specified otherwise.
- Requests beyond the agreed scope may be billed at an hourly rate or require a change order.
- Significant changes after approval of a phase (e.g., design sign-off) may incur additional costs.
8. Warranties & Limitations of Liability
- We do not guarantee specific business results (e.g., search engine rankings or traffic increases) unless clearly stated in writing.
- We are not liable for losses arising from:
- Hosting/server issues outside our control
- Third-party plugin or software failures
- Content provided by the Client
- Total liability is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the specific service in question.
9. Cancellation & Termination
- Either party may cancel the agreement with written notice.
- Work completed up to the cancellation date will be invoiced and must be paid within 7 days.
- Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Confidentiality
We respect client confidentiality. Any information shared with us in the course of a project will be treated as confidential and not disclosed without written consent, unless required by law.
11. Subcontractors & Collaboration
We reserve the right to use trusted subcontractors, freelancers, or white-label partners to complete portions of a project. All partners are bound by similar confidentiality and data handling obligations.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, cyberattacks, or major service outages.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
